In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Norway showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their trends:

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at 1.2K in late December and dipping to around 529 by the end of February. However, it saw a resurgence, peaking at 879 downloads in the week of March 20. Active users showed a slight decline from 12.1K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 11K by the end of March, with a minor peak at 11.3K mid-March.

Uber - Request a ride maintained relatively stable weekly downloads, beginning at 1.1K at the end of December and fluctuating around 500 to 800 throughout the quarter. Active users started at 28K, saw a dip to around 24K mid-January, but recovered to end the quarter at approximately 27.3K.
